Let’s plan your arctic adventure. This is a tailor made tour for active people where the main idea is to be in the nature. We will sleep in tents, heated tent, Sami tent (lavvu) or hammocks. In wintertime you can choose from following activities:
- Snowshoeing
- Skiing (cross-country, off-piste, downhill, telemark, snowboard)
- Icefishing
- Hunting
- Bushcraft
- Sauna

Arctic Adventure, itinerary for two days tour, excample:
Day 1: Arriving to Nordkjosbotn (from Tromsø by local buss nr.100 or by car) at 11:30 am. Packing the exquipments and start hiking to the mountains. About 2 hours hike to a lake surrounded by mountains. Set up a camp, make dinner on the campfire. Icefishing on the lake. Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere, if we are lucky we will witness the northern lights. It is also possible to take a longer snowshoehike during the evening. Sleeping in a tent which is heated with firestove.
Day 2: Packing down the camp after breakfast. An extra hike on the mountains, or icefishing on the lake. Walking back to our place in Nordkjosbotn, where you can relax and recover from the trip in sauna. Homemade dinner will be served before leaving back to Tromsø by bus, leaving at 4:20 pm.
Arctic Adventure, itinerary for three days tour, excample:
Day 1: Arriving to Nordkjosbotn (from Tromsø by local buss nr.100 or by car) at 11:30 am. Packing the exquipments and driving by minibus to our starting place (from half an hour to hour depending on the weather conditions and the place we choose). Skiing or snowshoeing to the lake. Set up a camp, make dinner on the campfire. Icefishing on the lake. Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere, if we are lucky we will witness the northern lights. Skiing lesson during the evening. Sleeping in a tent which is heated with firestove.
Day 2: A relaxing day in the middle of pure arctic nature. Learning more about norwegian outdoor lifestyle, some important buschcraft skills such as making a fire, how to keep you warm, preparing food on campfire etc. Skiing, icefishing, snowshoeing, making your own igloo, if the conditions allows it.
Day 3: Packing down the camp after breakfast. Driving back to our place in Nordkjosbotn, where you can relax and recover from the trip in sauna. Homemade food for lunch. The bus is leaving back to Tromsø at 1:20 pm (only from monday to friday).
Local guide
The company owner and your guide, Roy, says: “I am born and lived most of my life in countryside in Troms county. Forests and mountains are my other home. I really like to meet new people and share with experience and knowledge; it is my way of travelling.” Roy has been working as a northern lights guide for more than ten years, and before that as a skiing instructor for years.
